The mentoring committee has put together a seminar that will benefit all ages and experience levels of members of the Sons of The American Legion. There will be four seminars throughout our state. We know how important your time is with your family, so we are keeping each seminar short but with lots of information. All seminars will begin at 10 AM and will be completed by noon. Coffee, tea, juice, donuts and bagels will be provided. Each seminar will begin with opening ceremony and a short group discussion. At this point we will break out into smaller classes by experience.

The seminars are as follows:

Saturday January 18, 2020 at Eden-Stanley Post 294 located at 39 Fort Dix Rd. Pemberton, NJ 08068 Burlington County.

Saturday February 15, 2020 at Belleville Post 105 located at 621 Washington Ave. Belleville, NJ 07109 Essex County.

Saturday March 21, 2020 at Anthony Wayne Post 174 located at 55 Mountain View Blvd. Wayne, NJ 07470 Passaic County.

The fourth seminar will be confirmed soon.

There will be current 2019 SAL handbooks available for everyone. This has the changes due to the Legion Act passed by Congress.

Every Squadron has one or more members that are looking for more information on the Sons of The American Legion. Come out and see what the Detachment of New Jersey has put together for our current and future leaders. Knowledge is Power!

Please email me at if you plan to attend. Walk in's are welcome.

Looking forward to seeing you at one of these seminars.

For God and Country,

Bob Phillips Jr. Chairman
