Detachment of New Jersey

Vice Commander

Bill "Murph" Murphy

Hi,

I am Vice commander Bill "Murph" Murphy. I cover District 4 which includes: Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May and Ocean Counties. I also share district 2 with Vice Commander Rich Hodum which includes: Hunterdon, Morris, Sussex and Warren counties.

The main things on my agenda now are the following. Please make sure you pre- register your delegates for the Convention in Wildwood. There will be NO registration the days of the Convention. Keep your eyes out for the registration forms and get them in by the date requested. If you don't you will not be able to attend the Convention. Also check out the forms on njsal.org for Son of the Year, Outstanding Young Citizen, Ernie Wilson scholarship. We do not get enough candidates for these. Also very important, fill out your Squadron data report. This has to be done so that when your members renew or join on line National and State know how of the dues to send to you. In addition, your Squadron Officers Report must be submitted do you can get all the mailings the State sends out. We need to keep the communication lines opened. Lastly your Consolidated Squadron Reports (CSR) need to be filled out. All this information goes to State and National so they can lobby Congress and advocate for our veterans.

I encourage you to go on njsal.org to see what all that is on there and the Detachment of New Jersey has to offer. If you have any questions regarding any of the above, please reach out to me. I can also answer any membership questions you may have.

Thank you,

For God and Country,

Bill "Murph" Murphy
