RE: VA&R Report on East Orange VA, March 2023
In representing the Detachment of NJ at the East Orange VA Campus, I have the following to
report on what the VA&R Committee has been doing for that facility as of the above date:
Through the website www.wholesalesockdeals.com, the Committee has ordered
$829.44 of items to be donated to the East Orange VA Campus.
o This has been in two separate shipments – individually $471.01 and $358.43 –
which is a few dollars below the line item of $850 dedicated to each veterans
facility
o Products ordered off of the facility’s wish list are:
48 pairs of Men’s Slip On Twin Gore Upper Casual Canvas Shoes In
Black, sizes 7-13
$9.04 each
38 pairs of Yacht & Smith Assorted King Size Cotton Crew Socks
$1.50 each
24 Men's Gildan Sweatpants Assorted Sizes And Colors
$8.21 each
36 Men’s Fruit Of The Loom Sweat Shirt Assorted Colors And Sizes S-2xl
$5.46 each
o All products have been received and are in the original packaging at my home
o After speaking with Latisha Eaves for VA Orange’s Center for Development &
Civic Engagement, we are allowed to drop off the donations Monday through
Friday 8:30am to 11:30am in the morning and 1:30pm to 3pm in the afternoon.
We have yet to schedule an appointment, but I do have a commitment from
Squadron 105 Belleville (Essex) to assist in dropping them off.
