April Report

The Polar Bear Plunge in Sea Side was the most successful ever raising more than 2.3 million dollars.

Of that over $2,000 was from New Jersey SAL Squadrons. Team Tequila was the 24th highest fund raising team out of over 250 teams.

I am currently assisting my son’s team with weekly practice for the upcoming is Track and Field competitions to be held in May early June

Our goal this year will be to reach $10,000 donated and 1,000 hours given as a detachment.

With all current Special Olympics funds calculated including the Plunge, squadron donations and money collected at our meeting we are at $9,485.92 in monetary donations and 880 volunteer Hours to the Special Olympics NJ.

We are just under 95% of our goal of the $10,000 needing only $515 to make our goal and 88% of the 1,000 volunteer Hours.

Any Squadron or individual who donates to Special Olympics NJ and has a mailing address on the check, Special Olympics is going to mail a Thank You Letter directly to you rather then send them to me. It has been confirmed that all donors this year who have given donation checks have been mailed a thank you letter already

Donations for Special Olympics can be handed to me or mailed to my home address of 19 Edison St. Bayville NJ 08721 how ever do not make checks payable to the Detachment of NJ. Make all donation checks out to Special Olympics NJ and in the note put SAL Donation.
