YOUNG CITIZEN’S AWARD

The future of our country will be given to those who will diligently approach tasks that require an understanding about their own community, as well as have the fortitude and persistence to achieve goals to assist in the betterment of their community.

The Sons of the American Legion, Detachment of New Jersey’s Young Citizen’s Award is awarded to a youth, up to and including those 17 years old, for outstanding achievement in their community.

Young volunteers who help their community in some way can be found, but to find one who makes the extra effort, to find someone who makes a real impact in a variety of ways is what the Detachment is looking for.

To help us achieve this goal, every Squadron can submit two nominees for this award every year.

The Young Citizen's Award Committee has met and have selected a winner for this year's award. The recipient will we announced at our Detachment Convention in Wildwood, NJ.

For God and Country,
