The 2016 class had 29 members and it was again a great success. Come out this year to find out more about our great organization.

The Sons of The American Legion, Detachment of New Jersey, will hold our annual SAL Leadership

College sessions in the Saturday April 29th, 2017, at the National Guard Training Center, Sea Girt, NJ.

 (2) one day courses will be offered basic and advanced on saturday the cost is $50, IF YOU WISH TO STAY THE WEEKEND Friday to Sunday the cost is $100, you will be required to go to the opening on Friday night and a seminar on Sunday morning.

A basic course designed for anyone who would like to know about our organization from bottom to top. I would also like to encourage Squadron Advisors and SAL Chairman to attend.

An advanced course designed to help members get programs rolling in their Squadrons and to exchange ideas with members of other squadrons throughout the state.

Both of these courses are getting better each year, so maybe you might want to retake one of them. The forms will be mailed out in January.

Members will be required to have photo ID, an up to date membership card and wear the SAL cover (hat).

There are openings in The American Legion basic course and the Chaplains course for those who have completed both the SAL basic and advanced courses, more information on these please contact me directly at 609-685-6171 or email at kehehl@aol.com.

Our instructors have over 100 years of knowledge they want to share!

For God and Country,

Kent Hehl

Chairman SAL College.
